Graphic Recording for Businesses and Events
Conferences, meetings, strategy days and seminars generate a lot of ideas, but afterwards the question remains: What did we decide and why?
Graphic recording is a great way to remind you of what you heard with a visual summary.
Immediately after the event, you will receive a summary of what was discussed in the form of a drawing, which you can then publish, send by e-mail or print.
Visual notes or visualization come from the English term graphic recording, visual scribing, live illustrations, or sketchnotes. Such a drawing allows you to look back at what was discussed, and in this way the information is more easily perceived and better recalled. There is some truth in the saying: It is better to see once than to hear a hundred times.
I also try to include elements of association and humor in my visual notes. Drawing cartoons and visualization have a lot in common – weeding out the superfluous, capturing the essential, using symbols and metaphors, to emphasize and feeling what is in the air. Sometimes, a small dose of humor adds liveliness to a serious topic, improves the mood of the participants and helps them to stay focused. Emotions strengthen memory.
I take visual notes at events on an iPad. So, it is also possible to connect a large screen or projector that allows everyone to see the creation of the drawing.
Depending on your budget, I can create the drawings in-person or remotely. The drawings can be completed in Latvian or English.
Depending on the structure of the event, one large drawing can be made – a summary of the whole day, or multiple small drawings, each for their own discussion or conference. For shorter presentations (under 15 minutes), to complete a quality drawing, preparation may be needed beforehand. Situations and events are different, but everything can be agreed upon and discussed in detail prior to the event.
